Adam Polina is a fantastically talented guy. I first met Adam when he was fresh out of college and walked into my office when I was Editor in Chief for Personality Comics. I took one look at his portfolio and hired him on the spot. I knew right away that he was destined for great things and I was absolutely right. Adam did some in the early days of Vamperotica and as always did a fantastic job!

The following is Adam’s “official” bio directly from his web site.
Adam Pollina is a visionary storyteller and artist hell-bent on wowing the masses. His work has stretched across the worlds of comic books, video games, and film.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Pollina was hired by Marvel Comics at the age of 23 to refresh and retool the X-Men for a younger audience. Collaborating with Jeph Loeb (co-executive producer of NBC’s Heroes, producer on ABC’s Lost and WB’s Smallville) he took over X-Force, and transformed the flagging title into one of Marvel’s best selling comics of the ‘90’s. This success lead to more work for Marvel along with competitors Dark Horse and DC on such characters as Superman, G.I. Joe, Spider-Man, Hellboy & Transformers. Adam still continues to work with the X-Men franchise. Critics have heralded his latest project, a re-invention of the X-Men character Angel, as “stunning” and “groundbreaking.”
Given the unique opportunity to publish a creator owned series with one of the big two publishers, Adam created, wrote and drew Big Daddy Danger for DC comics. Walt Disney Pictures quickly purchased the project. His other creator owned comics Hellhole, Generation Last, and Shaolin, have all been optioned and put into development by major Hollywood studios. Despite many offers for the property, Adam has decided to make Romp, one of his most recognizable graphic novels, his feature film directorial debut.
Adam Pollina’s comic book work brought him to the attention of Stan Winston who hired him to do the lead character design for the Terminatrix in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. He has also developed animation projects for MTV, Nickelodeon, and The Disney Channel, including the series The Emperor’s New School, the successful spin-off of the hit movie The Emperor’s New Groove.
Pollina entered the video game world with character designs for Nintendo’s smash hit James Bond: Goldeneye. Since then Electronic Arts and Activision have hired him to design characters for NBA Street Jam 2, Def Jam Vendetta Wrestling, and Dark Rider.
In 2005, Adam led character designs on God of War for Sony Activision, which won over a dozen “Game of the Year Awards.” He recently re-designed the character of Wolverine for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the recently released video game tie-in to the hugely successful 20th Century Fox movie.
Adam Pollina made a natural transition to directing with videos for bands such as Fischerspooner, Seven Dust, Elkland and My Morning Jacket. Utilizing an innovative mixed media approach, he demonstrated a distinctive visual flair that brought him to the attention of ESPN. Adam has worked on major commercial campaigns, and his artwork has been licensed for extensive use on billboards, clothing, and snowbirds. He also designed the internationally recognizable logo for The Pink Elephant, one of the world’s hottest nightclubs.
